Lidia counts herself “a survivor”.

Actually, she survived that terrible night in 2012 when her partner almost killed her by hitting her head with a pan and scissors and by punching her.

Then a mad rush full of hope to the hospital. Lidia Vivoli wanted to survive that horror. And she did it!

She gave everything she had, and with the help of the doctors, she recovered, at least physically.

Her heart is still full of pain and anger, although it managed to get rid of the weight of the love, which couldn’t be considered as such. Three years after that tragic night, she has spent her time by waging an awareness-raising campaign through schools thanks to the support of the “Diana” Anti-violence desk in Termini Imerese.
He got out of jail after 4 years. Lidia fears that his presence would upset her equilibrium again. By the time he got out of jail, Lidia’s life sentence began. She feared the worst for her and her children, as she was aware of not being protecteed.

She just wants an “ordinary life”, free from violence and the fear of meeting the very man who almost hit her to death.

She calls for the support of the Institutions, so that the other women who haven’t dared to report their husbands’ violences to the police can be helped.
