The heart of Daniela Monteleone is a big heart, because it takes a big heart to understand the concern of thousands of mothers in Reggio Calabria.

A concern that passes through the need to look after children, with a state that is totally absent in its national and local competences.

Mama Daniela is a mother who, for all of them, has decided to remind those who have closed the kindergartens in Reggio Calabria that the children, and there are 4,000, have the right to be welcomed in a kindergarten, to be treated and prepared for a future, which it will lead them to be citizens.

However, administrative blindness, state indifference, and even a heavy economic reality, perhaps more warned than in other cities, led to the closure of all public kindergartens.

Daniela, and with her the mothers of Reggio, began a hard confrontation in which the ActionAid team and a petition of 6,000 signatures.

What do you ask? Reopening of public kindergartens or a temporary and alternative form of nursery schools.

He asks for something normal, due, which allows a mother to trust her child and thus make the daily work possible.
