ALGANESH FESSAHA

“Woman for peace” Award

A woman of the desert and of mercy. In her eyes burns the courage of one who has known suffering without ever looking away. Alganesh Fessaha has crossed borders, dangers, wars, and silences to free the oppressed from the world's injustices. In the prison camps of Sinai, among refugees and shipwreck survivors. Listening, helping, and saving. Walking, with a determined step, alongside the most vulnerable in the lands of pain. Risking her own existence daily to restore dignity to all those lives that have become soulless numbers. A caring doctor, a tireless activist, a clear voice for the forgotten: her path is a tortuous but necessary pilgrimage. A secular prayer reborn from the wounds of lost humanity, practicing solidarity as a concrete mission. In the spirit of a love that knows no borders, her work is a symbol of a silent heroism that turns compassion into a revolutionary act. And a real testimony of peace.
