LINDA CHARLOTTE MOBERG
“Woman of courage” Award
Twenty years lived in the shadow of the deafest silence. Locked in a cage from which she learned to fly with new wings. Raising her head just when everything called for surrender. Linda Moberg was able to free herself from shame and fear. By coming out into the open. And by speaking out. Not out of a desire for heroism, but out of a desire to change things. To prevent others from suffering the same atrocities she had chosen to survive. Activist, author, mother: her commitment to violence is not made up of proclamations, but of concrete gestures, of presence, of listening. Linda doesn't speak for women. She speaks with women, instilling courage in those who felt lost and reminding them that freedom is a path to be built in small steps, one day at a time. Her story, etched in her flesh and soul, is now an open book revealing the true meaning of the verb "to be reborn." A close and sincere testimony, devoid of any rhetoric. Signed with new words that reflect the courage of those who, in her, found the key to unlocking the door of their home. And finally, running toward a destiny yet to be written.
